Things I Learned My First Year of College:
1. If you’re hungry enough, you’ll eat anything.
2. Wearing clean clothes is overrated. Clean towels are nice however.
3. So is showering (it does have a way of making you feel human again)
4. It is possible to write a 3 page paper in under an hour
5. 20 page papers need to be started at least a week ahead of time though
6. Sororities and fraternities are overrated
7. Some preppy kids are nice.
8. In large numbers, preppy kids suck.
9. Drunk guys @ 3am = not cool.
10. Drunk girls who can not walk by themselves are not attractive.
11. You don’t have to talk to your roommate to live the them
12. Don’t waste time hanging around people who want to change you or don’t “get” you. There’s plenty of non-assholes in the world just waiting to talk to you.
13. Eating out is a blessing and home-cooked meals are heaven sent.
14. Sometimes the only packages you’ll get are from church.
15. But any mail is a self-esteem booster
16. Reading for fun is a rarity
17. Its okay to spend 20 out of the 24 hours in a day online
18. Friends with coffee makers are family.
19. It’s normal to camp out in the parking lot until someone leaves so you can score a spot closer to your dorm.
20. It’s not a big deal if you lose your syllabus – its probably online.
21. It’s okay to skip class once in a while – its called a mental health day. Just don’t skip too often or you’ll get behind.
22. Even an elective is a big deal – it still affects your GPA.
23. If you haven’t been home in a month, don’t assume all the food in the fridge is fresh.
24. Some people gain the “freshman 15” however, this phrase also applies to losing weight. Don’t forget to feed yourself!
25. A bathroom can also double as a kitchen.
26. Sometimes its worth washing the dishes if you don’t always have to eat off of paper plates.
27. Plastic cutlery is a must however.
28. As much as you hated your history class, you will still miss your professor’s funny ties.
29. You will miss things you were sure you hated. PS THIS BLOG IS SCREWED UP AND I CANT GO TO THE NEXT LINE WRITE MORE LATE LOVE BYE!
